I have currently a asus rampage and running at 3.72 stable is seems.... my VID is 1.3125v and i am currently showing at 1.55v (bios) and 1.536v (Cpuz) and if I raise my 412x9 anymore it gets bsod so can I push the voltage a bit more to try and achieve the 4ghz mark ???

I am running under water and currently idle at 35c and on full load around 65c ?

is there a limit of how much volts to push through the q6600 ???

No not really.

Load temps are too high for anymore IMO.

If you could get the load down to 50C.. then it may allow a stop more of voltage... but currently? I wouldn't... im doing 50C load at 1.525V with a E6600 and im not going any further :p

well if the machine is going to be @ 100% load 24/7 i.e. folding then I would say 70c max load, tbh I am happy to hit 75c in prime loads.. 1.6v should probably be your max

You didnt mention your cpu speeds?

if I small prime mine - I can get it up to 76C

completely stable though and doesn't throttle at those temps

the only annoyance is the shear heat it ouputs into the case ! otherthan that - well its quite hot so you may reduce its 15 year life by a few years - but who cares
