Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm a bit out of the loop on m.2 storage compatibility. I'd know the answer with old school sata drives ![Cry laughing  ](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/cry.gif)
Long version
I'm planning on picking up a Ryzen 7 and AM5 (possibly an Asus Gene) when they launch, which will come with pci-e v4 and v5 m.2 sockets.
My current board has pci-e v3 sockets. Both drives are Samsungs (960 Pro and 970 Evo), which are nvme 1.2 and 1.3 respectively, and both pci-e v3.
I've no desire to swap them unless I have to because they are already faster than I can make full use of and have over 90% life remaining.
Am good to go, or should I plan on a new drive to replace them due to socket changes...?
Thanks!
