I've had two drives 'Fail' on me in the last year a Corsair SSD and a clunky Freecom External. On both they started to slow down though I managed to save some files. I had to just copy a few files at a time.
Just wondering whether they have completely failed or I should try and recover more data from them. I though about buying a caddy would that help with the SSD ? The external has a hard shell so I'm guessing I couldn't do anything with that ?
I discovered the problem with the SSD (not main) when windows failed to load after an update. I managed to repair it and saved some files (after using a new SATA cable) but don't know if there is anything more I can do ?
Thanks
