Can I return this?

Hi,

I started building my HTPC today (First time building a PC for me so bear with me please!). I bought the GFX card (Sapphire 6670 Ultimate) from OCuK on the 18th October (last month). I got the other parts from my mate. However he only gave them to me 2 days ago...

So I started building everything... and the GFX I bought from OCuK does not fit in the case.

The case is a Lian Li PC-C50B and the problem is the height of the GFX since the middle part of the case (the stick from front to back) will not fit back as part of the chassis because of the GFX... I would've removed the stick but the HDD and optical drive cages all rest on it so you need to use it.

Any ideas if I can return this to OCuK and buy something else with the credit?

The card is brand new and never been used. I just removed it from the box to the PCI-E once, saw that it will not fit in the case because of the stick and it went straight to the box again.

Thanks for any advice!

They don't have to swap/refund or take it back as it's past 7 working days for you to DSR it. This is why whenever you buy stuff online always get whatever you're putting it together with pretty soon.

Sometimes you might get something DOA and instead of a refund or replacement you'd have to go through a maybe long RMA process (compared to refund/replacement).

I know they don't have to, but it doesn't hurt to ask... also I am not from the UK so it takes a week or more for the item to arrive to where I live!

Assuming you're covered by the DSR then the 7 working days only start running from the day after the goods are delivered.

It doesn't matter how long they take to get to you.
