Can i setup an array without reinstalling?

hi, i've already got windows installed and a new setup would take absoultely ages so i'm hoping there's an easier way round. if i connect a hard disk which is exactly the same model, and then setup a mirror array with the two hard disks can i make the old one copy itself to the new one? or is there no chance?

starting from format is going to take at least two days to setup eveyrthing, and there's 100gigs of data on the hard disks which will have to be copied somehwere for a while.

Unfortunately not. The only option maybe to take an image, build your arrays, then copy the image across. Wouldn't be 100% certain that would work either, but it would be the only option as there is no other way around it. I don't know if the imaging would work, it was just a thought i had when i was setting up my own raid, but decided in the end to do a fresh install..

I read some where else that, they went to the repair windows installed the raid drivers then it worked fine.

I did it using a 3rd hard disk and Ghost.
