Farmers are allowever to shoot vermin, be it fox's, rats or even dogs if on their land.

I have a cat problem, i spent 30 mins this afternoon clearing my tiny front lawn of 22 piles of cat faeces, bloody revolting. Understandably this cant go on and i want the vermin (cats) dead.

So am i actually allowed to shoot them if i catch them deficating on my land??

What if they are pets that would just be harsh. Pretty sure your allowed to kill strays though if your allowed to kill dogs.

You just looking to shoot something?

Farmers aren't allowed to shoot dogs willy nilly, they have to have a very good reason to shoot them.

Why?? I'm actually serious, im not a 12yr old keyboard warror, i just want my daughter to be able to play on MY land without having the problem of 22 piles of stinking filthy dangerous faeces....is that really so unreasonable.

Use a BB gun or something, or even better get a dog.

We had this problem and it was only the one cat on our road (Out of many). My father being the grumpy old man he is just scooped it up on a shovel and put it on the garden of those who owned the cat across the road. Couple of arguments later and no cat poo, I guess they got a litter tray like every other normal cat owner. :)

why not fix the holes in your fence?

but also, as above, cats usually go in flowerbeds as they can dig up the soil easier. they almost always bury it. probably something else..
our cats have never **** on the lawn, and we've had cats for ages

Have you thought about buying cat repellant ?

I don't mean the 12 bore kind.

Maybe get one of those devices that emit a very high pitched sound every few seconds. It depends on your hearing though, as i can hear the sound and it's really annoying. My dad on the other hand cant hear them at all.

Front garden so no fence, also i dont know if youve ever seen a cat but even a hole-less 6ft fence poses no problem.

Yes im sure its a cat, until recently i owned a dog (not at this house) and know the difference from many years of clearing up after my own pet (unlike cat owners). I also nearly caught the little blighter earlier as it was sniffing about for its morning crap on my grass.

Thought about this but i can hear bats as they fly about so will eaily hear one of them :(

So far tried cat repellant and pepper....no success yet, this isnt the first time ive cleared mountains of crap off the lawn, i do it weekly.
