Can I split a SPDIF signal between 2 DAC's?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've got another DCX2496 recently, and I was wondering if I could have it so that they both use the same SPDIF signal for the input?

Well, I've set up the cat5 link and it does allow me to control both DCX units from the PC software, but there is no way to send audio over the cat 5 cable.

I've got a DEQ2496 as my source and I want to connect it to 2 DCX2496's. I'll try splitting the SPDIF/AES output and see if both DCX's will get the signal...

Hmm.. if you can spare two outputs you could just connect a pair of outputs on one to the inputs of the other.

Although SPDIF splitters are fairly cheap on google.
I found an RCA splitter in my bag-o-leads, and after a little experimentation I split the SPDIF signal before it gets to the DEQ, and it appears to be working. I'm sure with some extra RCA to XLR leads I could split the signal after DEQ as right now I'm using an XLR to carry the digital signal. :)
