Running the 1 TB model on ICH10R with a SATA 300 cable and performance is very good. Be interesting to see if your drive improves any on the SATA 600 controller. I'll wager the difference will be minimal but maybe you can benchmark before and after and post the result? Just out of curiosity like ...
