Hi All,

Looks like my pc is on its way back to me and I want to ask, what is no doubt a seemingly stupid question.

Until I can afford a seperate monitor (that I plan to have on swinging arm that fill push pack to wall) can I connect to my Samsung LE32D580 LCD HD 1080p using an HDMI connector rather than the vga specified pc/vga input to the screen.

Or should I be connecting some other way.

The Samsung tech-specs for imput/output are:

Input&Output
Component In (Y / Pb / Pr)
Component In (Y / Pb / Pr) 1 (Common use for Component Y)
Digital Audio Out (Optical)
DVI Audio In (Mini Jack): 1 (Common use for PC Audio In)
Ethernet (LAN)
Headphones
HDMI x 4
PC Audio In (Mini Jack)
PC In (D-sub)
USB x 2
Scart
CI Slot

I am using a Gigabyte 7970 Windforce 3X graphics card.

thanks in advance for any help.

Okay thanks it was as stupid question as I thought it was.

It's just that its hard for me to reach behind the screen (hardly any room to wall) and I don't want to waste what little energy I have having to try it, fail, then having to try another connection.

many thanx

Check the manual for which port to use. I have a couple of Sammy 32" and the manual says when connecting to PC to use HDMI 1 for best results.

Thanx Swordfish,

My manual is an horrible elctronic one that's really hard to find what you want but I'll give it a go.

My HDMI 1 input says HDMI/DVI but I'll see what happens tomorrow.
