also if this pc is in my lounge is there anyway i can still have my monitor, keyboard, mouse in my sons room so if he wants to play then it does not distrupt the lounge TV.

opps forgot my 7.1s will join me in the lounge room so is there anyway still to have sound in sons room.

in fact this is a rubbish idea and the best way to do it would be leave PC in sons room and come out of the card with HDMI into TV. only thing i would lack would be my 7.1s in the lounge.

Why don't you just get something like this and connect it to your tv in the lounge and scrap the idea of moving the pc, you won't be able to have the pc playing something on your tv and your son using it at the same time on a monitor in another room

I'd second that, although they can be found cheaper then this (around £75-£80) if you shop around..

yes realise that i cannot have tv and monitor going at the sme time.

my real aim for lounge room is i player/catch up etc.

dont think that WD gadget is for me.
