Can Integrated graphics cause problems

what about this motherboard Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H it has a onboar dnvidia 9400 GFx card as you said in your last post you where going to go for a 9400 chip nvida card anyway. also it has NVIDIA® Hybrid SLI Support so you can plug in another nvidia card to sli it.

motherboard version uses 256meg and 256meg system memory for a total of 512meg, so as long as you have about 2gig of ram you should be ok

They're not looking for a new motherboard...nVidia aren't particularly known for their Linux drivers. I would suggest ATI. The 3450 or 4550 or something like that would be perfect.

Superewza I am afraid you may be mistaken. NVidia are very well know for their linux support and in particular linux driver support of their hardware. That is why I only buy NVidia for my graphics rather than the closed shop that is ATI and any other linux user.

9400 would be the best card for this imo..

I used to run Ubuntu on one of my old rigs, and I just used an old 8500GT 512MB graphics card, and Compiz Fusion worked like a charm..

I have to say that Compiz is the best desktop experience I have ever had with any computer!!
