This is what I said above, all 3 permutations are valid. Top SKU vs top SKU, price point and core count. And in all 3 cases Intel lose.

What I don't get is why Intel decided to put the 11900K in the same price bracket as the 5900X. Oh hang on, yes I do. Idiocy, arrogance, whale milking and possibly even a bit of trolling.

Alternatively the £599 11900k should be benchmarked against the £629 5900X. I would argue that the equivalent cost comparison is more relevant than a core to core comparison.
