Hi guys

Have been away form the Distributed Computing for a while, due to work and other pointless stuff like that, but will be getting fully back into it after Christmas.

My question is, when I get back, I am going to be putting a nice shiny new ATi 5870 in my rig (as per sig, bar new Foxconn Black Ops Mobo and 4 GB of DDR3). Will i be able to use my 8800 GTX I have now to crunch SETI on the CUDA (interesting development there) and also the 5870 for a bit of folding?

Have had a brief scan through the CUDA thread and seems that there has been a few issues with this. Has it all been sorted out yet? or are there still a few niggles with CUDA?

Cheers all

Paul

CUDA works just fine.

It's when you mix ATI and nVidia graphics cards together on the same motherboard that the problems seem to arise.

From what I've read, it seems to be a compatability problem with the graphics drivers not playing nicely together. That's what put me off trying it myself. Mind you, that was quite a while ago. The situation may have changed since then.

When the SETI@nl Gauntlet is over, I might give it a go in one of my rigs, using the latest drivers, as I have a 4870 sitting in its box waiting for something to do.
