GSM bods... what might have gone wrong here? :)

Calls in - DEAD TONE
Calls out - WORKS

SMS in - WORKS
SMS out - WORKS

Internet stuff - WORKS

Tried a new sim, new handset, etc, still dead tone...

I had this when I moved from Orange to T-Mobile at the beginning of the year. I used the website to transfer my old number across and about a day later I could make calls but not receive them.

It took numerous calls to get them to pull their fingers out, about 2 weeks later I could receive calls too.

Do you want us to dress you as well?

How much might a service like this cost...?

You or EE have managed to active incoming call barring (all scenarios) and disable your voicemail.

Call them and whinge.

It all went **** when they added 'internet' to the phone, apparently.

Numerous calls to EE over the weekend. Helpful helpdesk chap reckons a week.

A week?!?!?! Any ideas what would cause the HLR to not recognise the number was being barred? They even stuck a temporary number on the account. That, too, appears to be barred, lol ;/

One more thing, customer services will tell you anything just to get you off the phone because they know damn well when you phone back they won't be taking the call.

GTRC = Global Title Routing <something i forgot> for those who like to lookup everything. GTs are one of the sacred parts of mobile networks so if they are wrong you need an engineer to fix it rather than a CSR basically.

Global Title Routing Case .... it'll be something like that, been a long time since I did it. All they can do is keep hassling Customer Services and get them to raise a trouble ticket.
