Can my computer support this

Hello

I'm thinking of buying:

XFX HD 7970 Black Edition 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card [HD-797A-TNBC]

But i'm wondering if my current motherboard can support the card (or i can actually connect the card to that motherboard)

- I pretty much know nothing about computers. Any help is a great help thank you.

Yeah the motherboard is fine for that.

Just make sure your PSU is up to the job, ideally you should have a 500w + PSU made by a well known reliable manufacturer.

there should be no problems, adding to the comment above, make sure u have enough 6 pin connectors to power the gpu

Out of interest, what cpu do you have, and do you know if it's overclocked?

CPU: Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz Overclocked to 4.00GHz

This is actually a computer i baught from Overclockers last year or the year. Atleast i think it was last year.
