i have a cheap router which only connects to my pc at 12mbps. but im pretty sure it supports 100 because in the router settings theirs an option to set ports to value.. 100/full duplex, 100/half duplex, 10 full duplex or 10 half duplex??

the router im using is made be "guru"

also it connects to my pc via usb. and im not sure if thats usb 1.1 or 2. how can i find out? thanx for reading

The usb is for the printer server or possibly connecting to a usb modem, not to network comptuers together :x

The DG632 modem router lets you connect two devices, one by Ethernet (RJ-45) connection and one by USB, making it simple to link your gaming console and computer.

Why would a router offer a USB connection to a modem, when it already has a built in ADSL modem in the first place?

lmao ok, the router im using has 4 ethernet ports and 1 usb port.

Im connecting to the net from my desktop using the router thru its usb port

when i try and connect from my laptop, to the desktop thru an ethernet port on the router.. its well slow

when i go to network connections on my desktop pc..right click on the "TI USB remote NDIS network device" (Local area connection 1) click status it says speed: 12.0 Mbps. is this because its on a USB 1.1 and not on a USB 2.0?

please only answer if you know what your talking about, thanx
