Can rings be altered (for fingers?)

Ive tried google to no avail (well i tried ring altering). Ive lost quite a lot of weight in the last year, about 60lbs, and my wedding ring dosent fit me anymore, it keeps sliding off my once fat fingers.

Can you get rings tightened, and if so, how do they do it?

One is just a plain gold band, the other is a celtic design band, i imagine that will be a bit trickier.

As long as they stop slipping off my fingers ill be happy, i pointed to something last week on a work site, and one of them went flying off my finger, one of the downsides to losing weight i guess.
