Hi all im in a spot of trouble I have a pc with windows server 2003 installed the pc has a raid array not sure what type.

The problem is when we got it new 1 year ago we had to reinstall windows but when we did i can only imagine we installed it on the wrong partition there for only giving us 7.5gb not the 300gb it has.

my question is how can we keep the windows install and info we have on the 7.5gb partition but remove the others making it just one large partition?.

the pc is a server with important info on and down time is important aswell.

BUMP sorry

just looked its a adaptec raid 1 scsi disk device.

the server is running slow as it is running low on harddrive space there for we need to increase the size of the partition to its max.

like i stated above its very important data so it needs to be kinda safe and not take to long as down time is important.

A program such as Partition Manager should help.

have you any idea how/why the partition was setup ?, far as im aware raid does not require partitions of a disk but a pair of disks.

would not suggest using partition magic for the moment until you can detail why its partitioned and hopefully what was used to partition it.

its a pc from a well known company its the works pc.

what happend is when we got it i was left to set up the network x1 server and x4 clients when we got the server from ???? it wasnet running correct so we formated i think then reistalled windows server 2003 but must have rushed and chose wrong partition there for leaving us with a windows install on a 7.5gb partition not the main partition.

now the problem is it keeps getting low on hard drive space say down to 160mb but will go back to 300mb on its own i can only imagine its because of being a server its trying to free its own space up to continue to work.

it is a raid as metioned above on scsi drives.

any help would be great as its going to cause trouble soon im very surprised its gone this far about 1 year.
