Ok these retail from 51k new.

So what on gods green earth causes somebody to think, that a 2 year old model, in the wrong hand drive, is worth practically the full RRP of a new one ?

Its Left hand drive for goodness sake. Who wants to pay the same price new, for a 2 year old car with left hand drive with 8000 miles on the clock. yes its got parktronic and nav which probably make the full RRP of this particular car slightly more than 55k

but c'mon. Its only depreciated £1000 in 8000 miles and 2 years ?

and this one

£47,000

again 2 years old and 11,000 miles this time.

how come they depreciate so little ?

over 18 months old if you want to be pedantic.

Thats still a long time to not loose any (or barely any) money. Dont new cars depreciate most in their first year ?

I'll tell you one thing about it...it makes the E92 M3 look a bit limp wristed!

well no...

Its only 0.2 seconds faster to 60 and only 0.3 seconds quicker over the 1/4 mile. Hardly the biggest of differences in a straight line.

And then theres the fact that the m3 is about 3 seconds a lap quicker round silverstone.

Its a teeny bit down on power, but makes up for it with vastly superior handling.

the merc AMG unit does have full manual control though. You can change up and down etc.. without issues. Its a very good tiptronic box by all accounts.

Certianly never gets any criticisms in the reviews.

I'd have one of these over an M3 any day.

Price may be due to demand - how soon could you get a new one if you went to dealer tomorrow?

People will pay more to have what they want now.

thats the only reason i can think a respected dealer would think they are worth the same price used as they are new

if theres a massive waiting list for them or something.

Looking on pistonheads, similar age M3s are going for the same prices so I'd say its not as expensive as you think

really ?

last time i looked 2 year old M3s were into the low 40s. IIRC they dropped as low as 35/36k at the heart of the depression but have recovered by about 10k to mid to low 40s now.
