On Virgin I think you can turn it on in the settings, Audio Description I think it is called. Not sure if you are using sky thouh.

According to the TV Guide at Digital Spy it's Audio Described! Just be glad they don't also have the gurning monkey in the corner too!

Isn't happening for me, despite the guide saying "AD".

Doesn't even turn on when I press subtitles. Strange.

It needs to be enabled in the options, it isn't available on every program. Very annoying when ya wanna watch something and don't know how to turn AD off.

It was disabled on Sky, yet I was still getting it. Never happened before! Think there must have been some sort of mistake on the broadcaster's part. Ended up changing channel!

Same here, we were going to watch Friends, but can't seem to be able to turn off the voice

You can normally turn AD on and off by pressing 'help' on your remote. It's funny sometimes, but annoying if they've put it on the channel forced to everyone!

It's for blind people. You get told people's movements.

It's a service for partially sighted people. A voice narrates what is happening in the scene like "Joey walks into room and smiles at people" or something.

exactly!! i thought it was like drectors commentary you get on a DVD! Should really have an option to turn this option off.

It's still doing it today. I just pressed 'help' and turned Audio Description to 'ON' and it went away. A bit screwy, but hey!
