Is it true that Jehovas Witnesses will not allow blood transfusions. Even in the case of some life threatening issue is this still the case ?

it is indeed true. it was drummed into us when i did alevel law. the was a case we had to remember

well it obviously wasnt drummed into us because i dont think i can remember the case

something tells me it was r vs blaue

Looks like they done some pioneering stuff on bloodless surgery. Just had them drop off Watchtower but the missus doesn't like them dropping off their publications as she doesn't agree witht he blood transfusion thing

I always think of this story when people talk of Jehovahs witnesses (if your sqeaumish you might not like some of the details). I remember my old fella telling me of this one a few months after it happened as he was working the motorways in Cheshire at the time.

Shows how far Jehovahs witnesses will go and also that other members of their faith will also protect their rights to refusing blood transfusions.

Each to their own i suppose. Assuming they dont actually harm non witnesses with their decisions not to use blood then its their choice. As far as they see it, it is better to die and enter heaven than live but be condemned to hell for eternity. Thats how they see it anyway.
