Can someone explain dual rail psu pls

Basically it's like having 2 x 12v PSU's inside the PSU.
Advantages are that when current is drawn on one of the 12v rails the second 12v rail is not effect what-so-ever as they are totally seperate.

And they seem to be causing a lot of problems with Crossfire motherboards and some SLi rigs. Seems that unless you're really careful which connectors you use, you end up trying to take too much from one rail for it to work properly. I would recommend buying a U15 or U22 Tagan which has a switch to select one 12v rail or two.

Have a tagan 530w u22. Was just bit unsure what was best config. Thanks for responses
