can someone explain the diff between 2 laptop processors?

im talking about the P9300 and P9400 processors, apart from being newer tech, whats so good about the P9400?

and is it worth the extra premium for a P9400 --how much of a step up in tech are we talking, pentium M to core 2, or less like, core duo to core 2?

google doesnt seem to be giving me anything useful!

Core 2 is Core Duo.

The only difference between those two are speeds. And possibly bus speeds but I couldn't tell you.

The was a Core Duo before Core 2 Duo.

well yes apart from the different speeds of a P9300/P9400, is there any tech that the P9400 has that makes it a must buy over a laptop with the older processor?

This would seem to suggest the only difference is the speed, P9300 is 2.26 where as P9400 is 2.4, so I doubt it would be worth the premium (as I presume you're talking more than £20-30)

ah yes thats the sort of info i was after, so its just a slight bump in speed for the price, seems the bus speed and all that is the same.
