I believe cat c is up to 7.5 tonne and its on my licence but not later license's as standard. I was talking to an agency who said they were the same thing then spoke to another and they were not. The DVLA site is not clear and says to contact them for clarification.

From what the 2nd agency told me you can get a class 2 and a class 1 licence and apparently they are additional tests over the standard license.

Also briefly explain what a taco is ( I know it records speed and distance, but was once tested on it and wasn't expecting it ).

a taco is a small paper disk that records the vehicles speed for the entire duration of the journey.

they endup looking like a circular seismograph readout :p
you can get fired/punished for driving without having one in the machine.

Its actually a criminal offense to tamper with one and if you lose it you need to contact police.

There must be some people on this forum who can tell me if I need to take a test to drive class II. Ive been driving a 14-seat PCV with just cat C on my license.
