Hi guys

Had a few BSOD in Vista 64bit with 4gb (1gbx4) Ballistix 5300 in there so I burnt memtest onto a cd and booted from it and got the results below, only issue is a have never used it before so I don't know what they mean :)

Ram volts are 2.2 timings are 5-5-5-15 Is there another test I can do in windows and post results? Any help/advice would be great :D

Sounds like a plan!

I'll have a go at that now..

Is there a program I can use to test the memory within windows, that someone could recommend?

Thanks

Tested and I have a faulty single stick

RAM running @ 5-5-5-15 2.2v so I'm going to RMA them :( oh well

Hi Cob

Don't suppose you have the number to hand do you mate?

I know you've sent some off in the passed :)

p.s. I have 4gb so I can survive on 2gb no probs

EDIT: Its ok got it off OcUK site - 08000130330

Hmm thats interesting I may try 3.7ghz with 2 good sticks on Orthos then :)

Out of interest (and I know you said their out of stock atm) do I pay to ship the ram back to them?

Well all sorted, spoke with them this morning and my RAM is in the post ready to go!

Apprently they start sourcing the new RAM now so once mine is tested and deemed faulty they ship it out :)

All sounds ok to me.

very impressed with the turn around for my faulty RAM :)

Post RMSD Monday morning, they got it Wednesday and posted the new sticks out yesterday and they just turned up with the posty now, all in and tested working fine :D

Niiiiiiiiice :)

Did they come in the flat box rather than the old square box?

No Cob, square box mate?

When I called yesterday to check and see how things were going the young lady said they'd only got them Wednesday, so I said oh ok you need to test so thats fine, she said 'test' ? no we shipped some new RAM out to you today?

Not complaining at all, very pleased!
