now this is where i need help.
i have to put my 8800 fan on 100 percent via rivatuner or if i put it at 50 or 75 it idles at 71.when i put my fan on 100 percent the cpu also goes down and mobo.
basically temps wen rivatuner isnt used are
mobo 45
cpu 45-50
gpu 70-73 idle.
what i want to no is this.is 100 percent fan ok all of the time?
these cards run so hot why?
my room temp is 27.
i have 1 case fan at front(120)blowing in.
1 at bak sucking out.
1 at side over cpu blowing in.and 1 at side over vid card sucking out.
is my fan config ok?if not what should it be?i need to no what i should have blowin out or suckin in based on my fan config.
i cant afford water coolin or anything so i need answers based on what i have.
thanks a lot guys
p.s i wish it was winter id put my feet on the g80!!!

The 8800's run pretty hot, so i wouldn't worry about it.

Fit an intake fan at the front of your case if you can too.

yes i have fitted an intake fan at front.*** i wanted to no is my fan configuration ok or would you have both side fans blowing in,and not one blowin in and one sukin in like i have
come on guys i thought you were pros!!!!!!!!!

Generally speaking, you want the intake at the front bottom and the hot air to be sucked out from the back/top. try making both the side fans blow in.

73 idle seems a little hot. Im getting 73 on full load (oblivion or 3dmark06). running at 58 idle. Today though i bought a system exhaust blower for a pci slot for only a fiver. Placed it underneath the card and its reduced my gpu temp a good 5-7 degrees! a good buy imo.

That does sound a little toasty for the card at stock...

Seems strange to have an exhaust (sucking out) fitted over the GFX card. I woud have it as an intake (blowing in) see if it drops your temps.

Whats your cable management like? Do you have any other expansion cards right next to the GFX card that could be blocking airflow that could be moved down a slot or two?
