Can someone pinpoint this odd noise ?

Yo!

Yesterday I noticed a sort of rattle noise when accelerating in the mid revs (1000-2000). I've not noticed this noise before so it's only just started happening and I've recorded a 12 second video to show what I mean here

I've not noticed any other fault or weirdness of any kind, fuel economy remains good, oil and fluid levels are also good.

I've booked an appointment with a local independent who aren't seeing anything til new years now so would like to get some insight in to what it is beforehand

Sounds like something could just be loose, heatshield on a catalytic converter for example

Hmm I've no idea where to check if it is loose or whereabout it is located!

Get someone else to rev it while you poke your head under/around the car to see if you can figure out where it's coming from

Aha yes, I managed to rev the car from within the engine bay and no odd noises from there, the noise came from under the mid section of the car so took it to a local garage where it could be raised and gave a good thump to the exhaust system - turns out a front exhaust bracket has corroded and the remaining piece attached to the nut is rattling at low revs !

Just need a bracket now to solve this

I have the same issue. I expect a bracket or heatshield.
