Well, it's still DDR2, so it would probably run, but only at the highest speed the motherboard can manage. It's a bit of a waste of money to be honest. Even if it was running at full speed, it isn't going to be noticibly different from pc2-6400. You may as well buy some 800mhz stuff.
 
Correct. the fastest they can run without overclocking would be 800MHz. The only reason for using it is if you are overclocking, as the modules would almost certainly be stable at the higher speeds. Personally, i'd get some ddr-800, or at the very most 1066. Saves you a fair bit of cash, and you wouldn't notice any difference.
