Can Someone please explain.

I'm looking to buy the Asus Maximus Formula SE and im told that i can run this RAM (http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=ocz+flex&hl=en&cid=14422725447139880919&sa=title#p) OCZ Flex II.

Now RAM is certianly not an area im confident with.. but apparently the motherboard only runs DDR2 at 533/677/800MHz. So surely, pc2-9200 (=1150MHz) is incompatiable? Im a bit confused and was wondering if someone could shine some light on this.

Well, it's still DDR2, so it would probably run, but only at the highest speed the motherboard can manage. It's a bit of a waste of money to be honest. Even if it was running at full speed, it isn't going to be noticibly different from pc2-6400. You may as well buy some 800mhz stuff.

So i am right in thinking that if these do run, it won't be at full speed? Only the thing is whenever i read a review about this board.. these RAM kits are being used?

Correct. the fastest they can run without overclocking would be 800MHz. The only reason for using it is if you are overclocking, as the modules would almost certainly be stable at the higher speeds. Personally, i'd get some ddr-800, or at the very most 1066. Saves you a fair bit of cash, and you wouldn't notice any difference.
