XSplit is one of the best broadcasting programs if you pay for it. I'd recommend using that, linked to Own3d.tv. I've been using it for almost three months to stream ARMA and Minecraft, let me know if you need help setting it up. My upload speed is around 2MB/s, that copes with streaming at a resolution of 1280x720 and playing online. :)

Would be a great help :)

Are you on steam?

I got it streaming but the only way to run some of these retro games in stream mode is by loading xsplit recording before i load the game. If i press the hot key F11 to start streaming to the service while in game it tabs back to the desktop and i get a blank screen recording.

It's atm 1280x720/25fps/ Quality 9/fast/550kbps

Your settings are a bit off. The resolution and bitrate are directly linked. 550kbps is not high enough for a good looking 720p stream. You need at least 1200kbps or you'll get all sorts of artifacting. Try these settings:

1280x720
25 fps (30 fps is just more cpu usage for no benefit)
Quality: not set (this allows Xsplit to change it dynamically I believe)
Preset: fast should be ok for your CPU. Check the performance tab in task manager, if your CPU usage ever goes above 90% or hits 100%, back it down to faster.
Bitrate: what's your upload speed?

Remember to disable windows aero if you're on windows 7. Aero completely effs your fps while streaming.

Ah, unfortunate. You might have to stick with lower resolutions if your max bitrate is only 600-700kbps. Although it depends on the game. If your screen res is 1920x1080 you could try 960x540 resolution, it should look pretty good at 600kbps.

I tried streaming one but I guess due to my abysmal upload speed i'll never get a chance. It's like 0.50Kbps up and the quality was something stupid like 340p and it looked blocky and jagged. **** this ****ty internet.

I certainly am, my handle is the same as this username.

I have a similar issue with XSplit which started happening after their last update, it's manageable once you figure it out though. I'll speak to you on Steam. :D
