Can this be explained? ISS Video

I like the idea that NASA are clever enough to fake space travel, ISS, 1000s of staff keeping the secret etc. yet are apparently stupid enough to be able to slip up by accidentally broadcasting footage of a green screen.

Yeah NASA don't have any spare rooms to film in, that's it.
 
That's a very novel green screen, I don't think I've ever seen such a bacjground before where they've got a lovely pattern on it (the white stripes would utterly defeat the whole idea of the chroma key systems).

My guess is the reason they've got the blanket with the stripes is as has been said because it's a background (that can easily be moved out of the way and is lightweight), and striped because it makes it much easier to do some demonstrations when there is a useful reference point.

It's also possible (the resolution on the videos isn't great) that the white stripes are velcro and the blanket thing has been re purposed from another job on the station as they use velcro quite a lot to hold stuff to surfaces.

...and forgetting that Tim Peake's clothing is the same colour as the green screen...yeah that's going to work.

If you think that is bad, do a youtube search on "satellites are fake" and the true level of stupidity will be revealed.

But you're underestimating the level of stupidity of these conspiratards. They will point you to another youtube video which shows a green screen using a grid - but blatantly overlooking the fact the grid is a shade of the screen colour. But hey that's a minor point and NASA are still busted because of...well... "reasons".
 
Slazenger make green tennis balls, it's not in the same place, I think Tim has a different shirt on CGI screens are a single colour ...... Wow, Mulder and Scully reborn has a lot to answer for!

Holy ****! The levels of stupidity in some of those videos are so massive they could been seen from the moon.

I feel like I have lost intelligence just by watching them.

If anyone else feels like they want to risk it
