hi guys just been given new machine for pressy with following specs

vista premium
8600gs g/card
q6600 intel proc
3070 mb ram

the machine is a packard bell desktop, just ran the experience index and i am getting a score of 4 the breakdown is

5.9 procc
4.0 ram
4.9 graphics
5.3 gaming
5.8 primary hdd

Vista just gives you an overall score of the slowest component, so you'd need to get faster RAM to get a better score, but it is a meaningless rating really.

No, you are basing you computer perfomance on WEI. Better off using 3d mark. But it looks about right to me. Must be slow ram I guess.

funny enough vista gives both a ati x1800GTO and nvidia8800gt 5.9 score..... useless benchmarks.. my hdd is 5.4 all else is 5.9

.

although 4.0 for ram... my old DDR 3200 ram got like 5.2 or so.. u gotta look into that doesnt make any sense even for vista
