Can this still function?

With prices being so crazy, I'm thinking of repurposing an old home lab PC for my niece. She's 13 and will be using it for school and Fortnite.

12400 tower cooler
16gb DDR4 3200
1TB nvme teamgroup
H610M
4060
Evnia 32M2C5501

Will these pair well? Dont really want to spend any more money.
 
Should be fine for Fortnite and some other games, and obviously will be for school too.

I'm assuming that's the Intel 12400 and an 8gb 4060?

Do you own all of the parts or are there any you're planning on buying?
 
Should do ok. Definitely enough to get started especially if the board will take 4 DIMMs there’s room to upgrade down the road.

Yes i5 and 8gb gpu, parts listed I own just getting case, psu and cooler. I have a corsair 760 psu but fan is getting a bit loud.

That's a fantastic build for a 13 year old just starting out!
And the whole build sips power and would run reasonably cool too.
Definitely go for it!
 
That'll absolutely knock it out the park for Fortnite and Office/browser work (and most games with a few settings turned down a notch or two)! Will probably even handle RTX on Fortnite with DLSS (although maybe not >180Hz).
I'd be over the moon with that, as a kid or a parent, for a first PC!

I'd be over the moon if that was my first pc

Like the others said maybe a new psu or clean the old ones and see if it quietens down iirc I have the 760 too and it's fine
