Can Time Machine do this?

I have my photos on an external SSD (OWC 2TB), I also have a 2TB Time Capsule. I am not concerned about Time Machine backing up my internal 256GB SSD but I want to priorities the photos. Can I get Time Machine to back up the photos SSD into Time Capsule?

I have removed it from this list here.

Is there any way i can check that it has backed it up?

You can just navigate your time machine like any other disk. Do you mean your system photo library, where is this located ? On your 256ssd ? In which case why not just back that whole disk up to TM ? Backing up photos on mac is a Pain if you use icloud, (with optimisation on)
