can u use 4 pin PWM fans with a fan controller that uses 3 pins

my fan controller only has 3 pin sockets just wondered if u can still use the 4 pin fans (some of the good fans only come in 4 pin)

Should be fine. Depends on whether the sockets on your fan controller are a little bit bigger to accomodate the extra pin. Mine does and I would think most do. Only difference with PWM fans it takes more voltage for them to spin up and the rpms are a lot more sensitive to voltage increments.
