Can you buy an iPod Touch....

No engraving for me, least it keeps it resale value (plus, if anything goes wrong, can return for another one).

I'm just wondering where to buy it now.
I mean, they will cost the same, no matter from high streets or straight from Apple. I just want more peace in mind...

If it is defective, I'm 99% sure it's a replacement.
However, as it stands, the item is not "defective" but more poorer quality (batch). So for that, I'm pretty sure it's no returns (10% restocking fees if so?).

Never had to return nor have I engraved actually... (MacBook, Nano 2nd Gen).

Hmm, thanks. I checked on the site and they do have a returns option for engraved iPods which can only be done online. Like you say though, theres a difference between something that doesnt work as advertised and something that doesnt work as well as you'd hoped.

Alas, the proof is in the pudding. I didn't buy it for playing videos primarily as it will be in the car feeding the stereo. :)

Not exactly moaning, just wondering - because if the discount is available to me, I might as well pay the extra £45ish for double the memory... compared to the retailed £269...:)

Wasn't talking about you mate. Was only jesting anyway. ;)

How long is the code valid for, if anyone knows?

Sent it to your aol email. For any others its on a certain hot deals site :p, It runs out on the 29th of this month (September :p) and only works on orders of £200 (ex vat) or above from the apple store.

Here's hoping the iPhone will be available to purchase/pre-order before the 29th
