can you delete OS from HDD?

going to buy the M4 64GB SSD todat but was wondering can you delete windows OS from the HDD without formatting it because i want to install the OS on the SSD and still use my HDD for everything else but dont want to loose whats already on there.

Well you could just delete the Windows, Program files etc folders if that's what you're after.

Makesure you install everything on the SSD with the other hard drive unplugged. Then you need to change the boot order to the SSD first otherwise it will probably boot from the other drive.

+1 to what the other two guys said..

After you've installed windows with just the SSD plugged in. Turn off the pc, reconnect the old hard drive. And make sure the SSD is the first boot device in the BIOS

Don't forget to enable AHCI as well.

Once you've installed on the SSD, simply remove the OS part on your HDD.

Go into the bios and look for 'sata mode' or similar. Set it to ahci
