I get shouted at by the lady at the till at tescos... all my bags are damaged in some form... she keeps trying to replace them but for the short 5ish meters from my drive to the kitchen they work fine!

Just buy some jute / hessian bags e.g., https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/541654068/5-x-jute-hessian-large-shopper-bags - they're practically indestructible and you can fit loads in them.

Getting a little wound up by one of my colleagues - every day before work they go to the supermarket and buy a load of food and a reusable carrier bag to put it in, sit on their lunch break and put the wrappers back into the bag and then stuff the whole lot in the bin, repeat. Just goes against everything I stand for to bin a reusable bag like that.

Think most say on the bag that they're replaceable. Whether many people bother or not though is the bigger question. We must have been using reusable bags for getting on 10+ years now, I know a lot of ours are looking pretty worn out but still manage to hold everything.

They all go at the handles eventually. I've never taken one back and demanded a replacement though.

To be fair it's not a lifetime guarantee and even if it breaks it's still technically a bag, I'd only go for a return if it turned into a car or something because it's not what I bought and a bag turning into a car is definitely not a bag for life
