Can you guess what these are going on...?

Christ...Look outside of your tiny boxes.

Thats a bit rich isn't it? You are the one that posts all of "these" threads and never fail to get bent out of shape if someone doesn't like or doesn't "get" what you post.

And before you get all creamy with me, I actually like this particular example :o

Can't say I do, to be fair. The only time I get irked is when people post things which are factually incorrect ;)

I didn't want to start a new thread, but do you have any links to projects about MK1 Fiestas but with a more modern Zetec engine?

Can't think of any offhand. Will keep an eye out.

Howeverrerere, it's an awesome idea if you use a 1.6 Zetec-SE out of a newer fiesta.

Really light engine with a LOT of potential (200bhp on stock valve sizes) - a really well-designed engine (like all non-Ford-designed engines tbh ;)).

Zetec Inside have a guide but that's using the heavy, dogged Ford-designed Zetecs.

But that said, the process should be the same for the mk1 as it is for the mk2 as if I recall correctly, it's only the front panels and hatch that changed, :)

I honestly want one, not an XR2 though. Just a plain looking MK1.

Is that about the limit on them then? Cos you've no idea about the engine internals have you?:p I suspect 150bhp would be plenty in that, though.

Not sure about the wheels though. Mini?

Ford-fit minilite thingers in a RWD offset.

100bhp/litre from one of those engines takes big money...And you don't get it on carbs...Especially ones that haven't been set up. ;) But yes, 150bhp in a mkI/II Fester is potent ;)

Were it me, I'd go for a 1.6 Zetec-S, Megasquirt + spark, bike TBs, a decent manifold, and be happy with 140-150bhp.

There's always forced induction later ;)
