Think the Special Tomato EIO pushchair is around the £900 mark
We had the EIO for my boy whos also non verbal, global delay etc and tbh its not great, the McLaren was generally a better buggy with the exception of its smaller wheels. The EIOs front swivel wheels are a pretty poor design.
If your near Milton Keynes your welcome to borrow it for a test drive.

Ah, interesting to know. I'll pass this onto my sister. Do you know the model info by any chance ? Unfortunately we live in Cleethorpes so bit of a drive

It's the special tomato eio, not sure if there's a more specific model, I did email the manufacturers about the issue at the time as they had previously redesigned the wheels to help solve it but turned out we have the redesigned version. Don't get me wrong it's a good buggy but the mclaren excel was far better to live with day to day, irc I had to take the back wheels off the eio just to fit it in the boot (c class which tbf has quite a small boot opening), it's not the most compact contraption when folded.
