Can you play AND do a virus scan?

Ello Guys,

Just a little poll I guess. I can play some games while Kaspersky is scanning, unless I have a big RAR file, then my RAM usage can go to 100% so no chance of running a game. Found this out playing Episode 1, was fine then WHAM game froze when Kaspersky was scanning a 10gig RAR.
 
If you're asking if I can do a virus scan on my PC and playa game at the same time, then yes. Easily. :)

Edit: Just noticed your spec, you should be able to do it no problem at all. What AV are you using?

You definatly should be able to run it so something is wrong there.

Try another antivirus to see if its a problem with Kaspersky? why don't you exclude the 10GB rar files from the scan list?

EDIT: 10 years later I realise marc posted a solution! beat to it again! not my day today for been post beaten! bar humbug!
