Can you reccomend a Low-Mid Range GPU?

Hi all,

I’m getting a new set up ready for when we move. I won’t game heavily and aren’t bothered about max settings. I will mostly play iRacing, a few other driving games and maybe a few FPS’s but again, not to bothered about max settings. As long as there is no lag at mid settings, that will do me fine.

I plan to have 3 monitors, but will probably only game on one. I have a few 1GB cards to run the 2 other side monitors if needs be.

What do you guys recommend as a main card, to be used primarily as for the main gaming screen? Would like to spend between £50-£100 really. If performance is that much better then I would buy second hand but would prefer to buy new.

Thank you!

What is the rest of the pc's specification? As that will allow us to match a more balanced card for your system

Also what resolution in the monitor you're going to be used for gaming at?

Thanks

Hi, thanks for your reply.

The monitors are capable of 1080p but im not fussed about gaming at this res. 720p would be fine.

Main PC Specs as follows (AMD – Sorry :p):

AMD Phenom X6 1090t
Crosshair IV Formula MB
250GB Intel SSD
16GB DDR3 RAM

Thanks again

Radeon RX 560 Red Dragon 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
or

GeForce GTX 1050 SC Gaming 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
for £109.99

I would go for 560 4GB myself because the 560 seams better in dx12 games, but the 1050 is faster in dx11 and 560 is faster in dx12 most of the time.but some 560 need a 6 pin power connector.

My post got messed up

Cheers for that. You'll get a far better performing card second hand for around £100. As mentioned on the AMD side you have a 290 or 290x and Nvidia a GTX 970. These both perform around the newer AMD rx570 to rx580 cards which cost £180-£250+ and will be great for 1080p at high to ultra settings

On the new side you are looking at AMD rx560 and Nvidia 1050 but both will be quite a bit slower than the cards mentioned above

Personally I would go for a 970 or 290x as they'll perform better and allow you to keep the settings and fps in games higher for longer
