Can you retract a text?

notifications are very low priority across the mobile networks and often texts are received well before the notifications are sent back iirc

Because it's linked to some of the work I do. Receiving texts.

Not certain if you have this setup but you can get outlook to delay sending all emails by a minute or so. This has saved my bacon more than once.

Still, i can't help but notice that even if the text message had been sent to your work colleague, it would still sound quite....."raunchy"?

A good part of my work involves looking after SMS for a large mobile operator, I deal with servers which send everything from bulk messaging to premium texts and once a message is submitted to an SMSC it should arrive at the handset pretty much instantly. Storing SMS messages makes no sense as it is unnecessary during periods of normal activity, the network can more than cope with the amount of traffic on a normal day. The only time I have noticed problems in the last 4 years of doing this job are on days like new years eve, or when the 7/7 bombings happened.

If the timescales for low priority texting (marketing texts etc) were as bad as you say then our whole monitoring system would be permanently showing as red. We also monitor cross network by the way.

No offence but if I was to accidentally send that to my girlfriend, she would have a laugh and wind me up about it. Yes it sounds a bit dodgy but in a funny way so surely your girlfriend will simply ask "Hey you, what was that text about?!". So just explain the situation and laugh it off. Nothing to get worked up over.

Update:

Very long story short, i went to surprise meet her from work with flowers and chocs after my disaster text send so i could be there from the off so to speak, i saw her laughing with another guy who was fumbling her outside the front door :( ...they kissed and I saw her fondle with his crotch - I am in pieces!!!

I walked towards them and he ran off! i dumped her there and then - Although I got out out of my mess, still, who cares. Bitch.

Was I meant to send that text to her? Im glad i did now.

Ive been made a fool of :(
