Can you see a better version of GTAO coming soon?

What the hell????

Am I the only one having literally the best time on GTAVO?? I think we are at the stage now were we as consumers are expecting way too much and demand the best of the best, which is fine, but you just have to look at what R* have given us on the this gen of consoles, an amazing SP and really damn good (now that the patch has fixed most if not all of the issues) and extremely fun multiplayer.

Maybe people are not playing this MP the same as others I have been playing it with a truck load of my mates and I have personally never laughed as much, had as much fun with a pleathera of things to do in one MP game, there was always going to be issue with this when it came out as a MP as there was no beta testing handed out, but R* have been updating and improving on this a lot quicker than most Dev's seem to do on most games and I know they will continue to improve and make this better and better.
Seems to me like you just can’t please everybody.

Getting back to the subject at hand, yea I think there could be amazing scope for a MMO GTAVO and when they get something like this rolled out to the Nextgen it could be something of Epic proportions.
It would be one I would Def get my hands on, hell Im still not bored with the one R* have at the moment lol

Sure for Rockstar it paid off, I really don't care about numbers though, the game would have been far better on next gen and without doubt tempted many more into buying a PS4 or XB1 on release, especially PS as they are really lacking launch titles.

No it wouldn't, almost all the launch consoles were accounted for months ago. Considering how many millions the game sold on the first day alone, the majority of people wouldn't have been able to play the game even if they wanted to due to availability.

The current-gen release was a benefit to everyone really, you'd have millions and millions of people who wouldn't get to play the game otherwise.

I said above it paid off for Rockstar but I don't care how much they make, they would make millions either way.

But there's more than a slight difference between a few million and hundreds of millions. A next-gen GTA simply wouldn't have been as successful.

This argument was done to death before the game was even released anyway.

What do you mean as successful? It would be more successful from a gamers perspective, I'm not talking about the amount of money Rockstar would make from it.

As I said a next gen release wouldn't of had that initial massive income but over the years as more and more people bought a next gen console the profits would even out to similar levels.

The game is excellent I enjoyed it but I'm not naive enough to think a next gen version wouldn't of been on a different level altogether.

Personally enjoying online, the only thing that's annoying me is other people in races crashing into me

it's GTA not formula one, i crash into people on purpose all the time in any racing game tbh, it makes it far more fun.

wish they would remake destruction derby on next gen, but the last time they made one was ps2 for online and it was terrible.

You can do destruction derby in GTA, just get a lobby of people in their cars and take them to the race track and go at it lol

As far as crashing and ramming I'm not too bothered in GTA, but if it was an actual racing game, where you have bought the game to race it's not fun for most others having it made into bumper cars instead of racing, just saying.

If they made it for next gen then it wouldn't be available for another couple of years.

These games take several years to make - you can tell just from the sheer size of it and attention to detail. The new console specs have only been know for months (even to devs). This game was probably in development from before the last one was released.

Nope you are not alone in having lots of fun playing GTAO. The main problem is not that we, as consumers, expect too much. The problem is that R* haven't managed to release what they said and a lot of people are too impatient to wait. I came to the conclusion that most people on gta forum aren't worth the air they breath. a lot of them moan about the instability of it on release so R* work on patching it so there isn't problems and now they moan about there being no release of new missions/heists - when were R* supposed to work on releasing the new content?! An argument about the stablility on day 1 release is a vaild one however I don't think anyone can fault R* for the speed they have release the updates.

I honestly think that it is still in the teething stages now and once everything is up and running as it should be with the updates for new missions and unlocking heists it will be untouchable as a game. The next COD or some other game may break the sales record again but I don't think it the game will be beaten until R* next game as they will be able to use the power of next gen then.

I agree mate,

I understand peoples complaints on the first day of the online’s release, everyone has a right to moan about an online release that has glitches and issue first day/week as this should not have happened, but as you stated I think R* worked pretty fast to get these fix's implemented and they do seem to listen to their community.
Now I did not play the online on the first day it came out I played it a little over two weeks after that and I never had one single issue with it and again I am STILL having the best fun I have ever had in any MP game.

If people sit back and think of the content and scale alone for this game (and on PS3 its only on 1 disc, that’s amazing), I can totally forgive them for the few minor hitches they have had and I know they are committed to staying on top of any issues and will continue to make the MP even better in the next few months to come.

Looking at the game as a whole, SP included, I feel I have gotten way more than my money’s worth.

Roll on the NextGen versions, think we have some scope for some huge sandbox online, multiple optioned gaming soon to come.............exciting times :)

Not at all, all the money is made in the launch window; why else do you think they're so keen to get people to pre-order the game and buy it on launch? After three years the game isn't still going to be selling at full price and it'll also be competing for attention with the dozens/hundreds of other games out there. Rockstar's decision to launch on current-gen was as much common-sense as it was financial.

If they'd opted to make GTA5 a next-gen launch title, aside from alienating a huge userbase of gamers who wouldn't be able to play it, it would never have been the same game we've got now. The reason they've been able to squeeze so much into GTA5 is because they're comfortable with the hardware, a next-gen version would likely have been quite stripped-down by comparison. Fancier visuals, sure, but I'd gladly bet money on large pieces of gameplay being absent. Same sort of reason GTA4 was, for many, a step-back from San Andreas.
