can you type a whole sentence without lookng?

To be honest I'd think this thread largely, redundant, considering the intended audience of thiese forums, I'd have thought that the vast majority would be able to touch type.

Incidentally, this post was written without looking at the keyboard :p

I can type pages with my eyes closed, you're not a proper touch typist if you can't tell you've made a mistake without looking at the text.

And a touch typist can't lose their place on they keyboard, which is what usually results in errors.

When you start young, and spend 5 years using computers and through your teenage life you spend like 60 hours a week on a computer you pick up some cool skills lol.

I once got challenged, i was crap, like a year after i started using comps... i was taught a little trick, remember the keys 'F' n 'J' as they have stumps on them, which help, i never look at the keyboard anyway i watch my screen and delete, enter, change spellings where needed...

I try to, but fail quite a lot. For some reason typing at work into an email or Word I tend to type better. On here I'm constantly reaching for backspace.

After many hours on playing Typing of the Dead at work I can type all day long without looking at the keyboard. The trick is to feel the F and J keys which have a little indent on them. That way you can always find your place without looking.

In fact at home my keyboad is so old half the letters have worn off. My fiends wonder how I use it. Thinking about it I it’s the one thing I never upgraded still go the keyboard from my first PC.

Yes I can touch type. That's what you get for working in the IT industry for the last 7 years. Please note this post has been written without looking at the keyboard :D

I've been using a computer since I was 8 years old so I can type without looking and do it reasonably well. I get the odd mistake but I can correct it without looking back at the keyboard. Practise I guess :)
