I wouldn't be surprised if they don't even offer refunds on magazines.

I never really buy gaming/tech magazines as the news has already been released online. But sometimes it's nice to read a physical magazine (Flipboard is my tablet alternative).

why bother going through the while buy and return fiasco.

Just stand there and read it in the store.
