Good idea using a car sub in the house. How are you supplying power to the amp? I think I might have to build myself a custom subwoofer setup for this room. These B&W's are great, but I need more bass![]()
the htr-5640, bought it off my uncle, he is forever upgrading his home cinema/enterntainment system.
the amp is being powerd by a ****** regulated psu. it cant put out enough oomhp when the bass hits low. had the yamaha at -35db and the car amp was pullin too much juice from the psu and caused the car amp to go into protection mode, not good for either amp or psu.
the specs on the psu are
13.8v 7a continuous
13.8v 10a 50% duty cycle
13.8v 12a surge
the fuse in the car amp is 30amp
