Slight aside but from an aerodynamic pov is the ‘high nose’ design of the cars of the 90s and 2ks better than the current type?

I think it is because you can get more air under the car to work the aerodynamics. It was the way all the cars were before the low nose was mandated for safety after a few incidents where a high nose tried to stab through other cars. Of course the low nose just causes one car to submarine under another or have a car vault up the nose into the air.

May have been a different story if they’d brought their upgraded package, but I guess we’ll never know.

Presumably without their upgrades then they are still on the old engines too, so maybe not running them at 100% as they are old engines that they expected to be rid of by now?
