Cancel your Orange contract now!

Just to add i got a £72 refund on my two cancelled Orange contracts so make sure you get yours.

nokia n95 8gb sold to mazuma £140
samsung i8910 sold for £410
plus a £72 refund from Orange

= me very happy and £622 up. ;)

what did you do/say to get the refund? would be useful as I had to pay what worked out to be ~£45 for the touch hd so will make my money back on the handset and most of the money on the 1st month bill.

Sorry if this has been asked already, at work so can't get through all the replies - but can someone please confirm that this is only valid if the contract started PRIOR to 31st May 2009, as stated in the original post?

I signed up a few weeks ago with - would I be eligible? My phone has been dead for a good 10 days so haven't been able to check for the message.

I waited till i got my text and called this morning, after been on hold for awhile they have agreed to send my pac code out in the next 3 days. very happy :)

Amazing can't thank you enough for this, phoned up, explained I wasn't happy. With the service as well as the changes, no fuss whatsoever, ok you contract is disconnected as of tommorrow.

Thanks very much.

well mine was cancelled on sat morning, waiting for pac code in a day or two, going to be getting the 3gs on 24 month contract, would have got the 18month but £185 is just that bit too much for me to pay up front :( as its an iphone + quad core or just an iphone

New news FROM MSE!

"Just phoned. Proposed change in T&C will no longer be going ahead"

Orange are no longer cancelling ANY contract even if they agreed and you said you would call back to confirm.

Just heard the same from a mate, he did the offcom thing and orange said they would call him back but when they did they said the changes are not going ahead and so he cannot cancel, he even took a out a new contract already.

So now they've lost an ass load of customers AND won't get additional revenue from the proposed call charges increases....

That was clever :p
