Cancelling WoW

I played this game for a week before giving up at level12

I'm now selling the game, with my character. However I canceled the direct debit and now when i try and login to the WoW account section on the website, it says it has no recollection of my account! :S Is everything wiped when you cancel the account? If so, does that mean the person buying my copy of WoW can re-register it under their details?

Is there any specific reasons you want to cancel WoW apart from the money as it is a great game.

I was getting annoyed with having to walk everywhere! Also, none of my mates played it, so I was just walking around on my own

I imagine it's pretty good if you get into a guild and start playing in groups.

Its against the terms of service to sell/trade your account.

I think you might be trying to log into the US version of the site as their login systems are independant. My account been cancelled for over a year now and I can still log into the EU site to renew the account.

That's strange about selling/trading accounts though. I'm allowed to sell any other game I buy; I wonder why they won't allow it with this game? Am I allowed to cancel the account and let the new owner create a new account under the T&C?

Yeah, I'm sure there is plenty more to offer. Maybe one day a few friends will agree to play it with me. I was a dwarf warrior which didn't appear to be the best path to take, so I would chose a new character if I was to start playing again

You could sell the game I guess, but any characters/items are the property of Blizzard, and therefore not yours to sell.

I recently cancelled WoW and went back to DAoC, I'm not playing it much but I just find it more rewarding even starting from level 1 on a US account instead of EU.

There's some things about WoW that I loved, the interface is excellent, it runs smoothly even on low end PCs and on the whole the people were great. However I find that DAoC offers better PvP (by a mile) and more to do at the higher levels, infact it might offer too much to do!

Miss lots of things about WoW but one thing that really annoys me about both games is people using mulitple accounts. There's no way to stop it but I wish everyone was limited to one, I'm playing DAoC on a US classic server now and don't feel I "have" to have more than one account as most people don't but on WoW a lot of people seemed to have 2+ and I didn't really see why!

How can selling accounts be against the rules if you have to purchase the game? If you want to sell the game on after you've played it that is perfectly legal.
