Hi

I setup a wireless internet connection for me mate earlier this week and he has just called me to say he cannot access the web at now.
He unplugged the router and nothing so I asked him to type in the 198.168.2.1 number to gain access to the router interface and he says he cannot do this and internet explorer just returns a blank page.
Any ideas why this has happended ? and how we can fix it ?

Thanks

First start should be making sure the machine's getting an IP at all.
Assuming he's running Windows 2k/XP/Vista, Start, run, cmd, ipconfig /all. Right click and Mark, then select the output, hit enter then paste at will.

Panic over :D after going through a few settings with my mate it turned out that he needed to unplug the rotuer for 5 minutes instead of the 5-10 second disconnect that he tried first time. Thanks for your time Tolien .
